fuckyeahhistorycrushes: Eleanor of Aquitaine was a medieval queen and one of Europe’s most influential women of her time. She was also the mother of Richard Lionheart! How cool is that? As with many people from this long ago there are few or no accurate paintings. I don’t know who made this interpretation of what she might have looked like, but I’d guess it’s painted during the 19th century. I also enjoy saying that I have a little bit of a lesbian crush on the mom of Richard Lionheart! Via FUCK YEAH HISTORY CRUSHES !!
